Wet polishing pad and dry polishing pad are same use in stone polishing but differences on the usage. One is used with water and the other can be used with or without water. In polishing process, the heat is considerably high and it requests good heat resistant quality from the pad, so the formula and bond of the dry polishing pad should be different from that for wet polishing pad.

No matter for wet or dry polishing pad, it is suggested that stone fabricators use polishing pad with water when polishing. With water helps prolong the pad life firstly and will do better polishing on the stone surface or edges. However, if the water is not available or not in sufficient supply, dry polishing pad is suggested for the fabrication.
