Diamond polishing pad is consisted of four parts as follows:

1.Diamond powder: it is used to cut and polish the stone materials surface.

2.Binding agent: it is used to fasten the diamond powder and make the abrasive layer in a good shape.

3.Flexible substrate: it is to fasten the pad grain and increase the flexibility.

4.Velcro backing: it is used to stick the pad on the polishing machine, also it increases the strength of polishing pad and flexibility. Usually different color of backing represent different grits.
