Here we would like to share some technical factors on the diamond cutting segments as follows:
1. Regarding the selection of diamond grit
When the diamond is coarse-grain and single grit, the segments will be highly sharp and efficient but the flexural strength will decrease. In comparison, when the diamond is fine-grain, the segments will have a longer life but with low cutting efficiency. All in all, usually we will use the grit with 50/60.
2. Regarding the selection of Diamond strength
The diamond strength is vital for the segments cutting. If the strength is too high, the crystal is not easy to break, the abrasive grains are polished when used, it will result in cutting segments performance deterioration, on the contrary, if the strength of diamond is not enough, diamond is easy to crack and cannot have a good cutting performance. So the strength should be at 130 to 140N.
